Gday Riders,

Welcome to the 2011 Great New Zealand Trail ride. This years ride will be held in the Wairarapa area from 26th Feb to 5th March.

Our committee members are dedicated to ensuring that every aspect of this ride will be thoroughly taken care of. Our team of volunteers are screened and brought on board based on the attributes and skills that they bring to the team. The safety of both riders and Horses is paramount to us and no expenses or effort will be spared.

We will be providing the very best facilities, which include the popular Billionaires catering whose food is legendary, clean toilets and good showers. At night you can kick back with very reasonably priced drinks at the 'Arohanui Bar' and enjoy the on-sight entertainment. The proceeds of an auction held on the trek and a percentage of any profit after expenses have been met will be given to the Charity chosen at the AGM. Our aim is to give something back to the local region.

The photographer for the trek will be Sheryl Richardson. Sheryl was the photographer on many of the previous treks. She is very experienced at outdoor and Horse photography.

Each morning, wake to the smell of Bacon wafting through the campsite. After a breakfast fit for a king, you can saddle up and head out for another day of riding over well-marked tracks. Each leg will be checked to ensure the distances are achievable to every rider.

Both you and your horse will be well looked after by our very efficient and experienced team. All we ask of you is that you and your horse thoroughly enjoy yourself. So mark the first week of March in your calendar and join us for an experience of a lifetime.

As numbers are limited this year to 180 riders, you might like secure your space early to avoid dissapointment. For more information and all registration forms, please visit www.gnztr.org.nz or give us a call to get one faxed or posted to you.

The GNZTR team would love to see all the old faces again, and also attract some new ones too. If you have any questions then please feel free to call Paki Tuna or contact info@gnztr.org.nz. Happy riding until then.

The GNZTR team.
